Luke Beavers is 16 years old and lives in Inwood, West Virginia, along with 2 sisters. He is also a proud uncle of 2. Luke has been skating for 5 years and also enjoys wrestling for Mussleman High. Luke is hearing impaired, but has a hearing aid & communicates by lip-reading, sign language & speech. He is also a Christian. He asked Jesus into his heart at the age of 6. His parents had taken him to a play called “Heavens Gates, Hells Flames”. He had gone to church all of his life, but when he saw a play about what happens to you if you die & do not know Jesus as your Savior, he realized he wanted to make the decision right away. He had told his mom & she had dad take him to the front of the church. He will never forget that day. Luke knows he is good at everything he does because Jesus gives him strength. Jesus wants him to do well & live a victorious life. Luke knows when he competes, his parents watch & pray for him. Although he cannot communicate well verbally, Luke wants his love for Jesus to shine through in everything he does, (how he treats his friends, classmates, team-mates & fellow skaters). He gives God the glory for who he is: A Christian Skater.
